ALPHA goes under the roof of the VDE – Institute
And the VDE Certification Body becomes a member of LOVAG
After detailed negotiations between ALPHA association and VDE – Institute the general assembly of ALPHA e.V. has decided to continue the activities of ALPHA under the roof of the VDE Institute in Offenbach from the beginning of 2011 and to disband the association ALPHA e.V.
The continuity of the activities of ALPHA will be kept by the following steps:
- The Certification Body ALPHA will be integrated into the VDE Certification Body and continue its activities under the name: "ALPHA".
- LOVAG hat die Zertifizierungsstelle des VDE-Instituts ab 01.01.2011 als neues Mitglied aufgenommen
- Responsible for the LOVAG certification of "ALPHA" within the VDE - Institute will be Dr. Kress (the head of the VDE Certification Body) and Dr. Huthmann as before.
- The Certification Body of VDE-Institute is approved as a new member by the LOVAG Management Committee from the 1st January 2011.
- The name and logo of ALPHA will be kept.
- All working groups of ALPHA will be continued and are integrated into "FG 36: ALPHA – Industrial Low Voltage" of the VDE Institute
- The objectives to support the Manufacturers’ Declaration of Conformity and to support the acceptance of testing in manufacturers‘ laboratories will be perused.
- The Websites von ALPHA (www.alpha-cert.de) and LOVAG (www.lovag.net) will be kept
The activities of ALPHA at VDE are supported and financed in 2011 by 11 leading manufacturers of industrial low voltage equipment in Germany.
