ALPHA at VDE is supported by 11 manufacturers of industrial low voltage equipment in Germany.
ALPHA is active in the field of industrial low-voltage appliances. It supports the declaration of conformity of the manufacturers and the acceptance of testing in accredited laboratories of the manufactures. ALPHA establishes working groups for the production of Test Instructions and Test Report Forms for EN- and IEC- Product standards being harmonized within Europe.
Within the frame of the VDE Certification Body ALPHA certifies on the basis of test results in accredited testing laboratories. ALPHA at VDE is a member of LOVAG, the Low Voltage Agreement Group for the mutual recognition of LOVAG Test reports and LOVAG Certificates within the EU and world wide.
ALPHA at VDE takes over the activities of the Association for Testing and Certification of Low-voltage Equipment (ALPHA e.V.)
